How can we grow our Caring Community? Saturday December 15, 12:30—2 p.m. How can we respond when a friend is in the hospital? How can we reach out when someone we love needs visitors or support with their care? How do we comfort mourners? How can we expand our ability, as individuals and as a congregation, to support each other? How can we use our hearts, hands and new technology? Bikkur holim is the term we use for the mitzvah of visiting the sick. Nichum avelim is the delicate art of comforting those in mourning. We will hear from members of our community who engage in these mitzvot. Come, share your thoughts, and learn tools to help you care for those in our community.
