Shabbat Club Farm Hop 9am-4pm

Join Shabbat Club and the Gan Shalom Community Garden for the NWI Food Council Farm Hop on September 21!
WHEN: Saturday, September 21, from 9am-4pm with lunch at an Aquaponics Farm in East Chicago
WHERE: Bus leaves from ArtHouse – 411 E 5th Ave, Gary at 9am
The Farm Hop is a bus tour that will stop at inspiring farms in Lake County. See several thriving urban farms with unique solutions for community food access; a beautiful aquaponics system; an urban farmstead with exotic plants and medicinal garden; and a food pantry with an abundant supply of homegrown produce! The bus will stop at East Chicago Aquaponics, Stewart House Urban Farm and Gardens, Grown in Gary, A Rose for Yaminah Garden, Temple Israel’s very own Gan Shalom, and others.
