Shabbat Club in the Garden 11am

WHEN: Saturday, October 5 from 11am-2pm
WHERE: Picnic table next to Gan Shalom (meet in Social Hall in case of bad weather)

You are invited to have lunch and relax in Gan Shalom with some Jew-chinnis and other human-beans. Gardens are significant metaphors throughout Jewish poetry and mystical writings and David Arfa will be selecting a few to read and discuss. Please feel free to bring your own short reading about gardens that help increase our appreciation of them and maybe even help us see them in a fresh way. Try to focus on passages about gardens as opposed to poems about nature more generally. David and Cullen will host with a vegetarian lunch and others are welcome to bring side dishes or desserts. Come marvel, appreciate, and taste the bounty of the garden! All are welcome!
