DONATE TO TEMPLE ISRAEL
When you donate to Temple Israel, the money is allocated to a specific fund. Each of the funds is described below. If you’d like your donation to be in memory or honor of someone, you may also include that information on the form below. Please be sure to include the tribute card recipient’s address. If paying by check, please make it out to Temple Israel.
TEMPLE FUNDS:
● Temple Israel Continuity & Enhancement Fund: Contributions are used for basic budget needs such as utilities, supplies, and salaries. The minimum donation is $5.00.
● Dennis Kagan Memorial Scholarship Fund: Contributions are used annually for Jewish Camp Scholarships. The minimum donation is $5.00.
● Building Fund: Contributions to this Fund are used to ensure the long-term quality of our facility. The minimum donation is $10.00.
● Charles Lazerwitz Youth Center & Special Needs Fund: Contributions provide funding for special activities for Youth and special needs.
● Jennie Kahn Community Chest Fund: Donated funds are used to alleviate the difficulties suffered by poor, homeless, hungry, and otherwise afflicted people living in and around the Gary area. Minimum Donation is $5.00.
● Carl Miller Lecture Fund: Contributions are used for guest speakers and lecturers.
● The Toni Berke Memorial Fund: Contributions are used to encourage the Jewish youth of Northwest Indiana to undertake ongoing Tzedakah projects aimed at Tikkun Olam, the healing of the world. The minimum donation is $5.00
● Second Century Fund: Established to encourage substantial contributions to ensure the future of Temple Israel. Suggested contributions are those provided by a Will or Trust Fund, pledges paid in installments over a 3- to 5-year period, and gifts of cash, stocks, or bonds. ● Endowment Fund: Contributions to this Fund are for the long-term preservation of Temple Israel as an ongoing Religious Institution. Gifts of money, stocks, bonds, and will legacy are accepted. Contact Temple Israel at templeisraelmiller@gmail.com or 219-938-5232 for more information.
